Description from the seller
Martell XO is a prestigious and complex Cognac blend, renowned for its rich and intense flavor profile. It combines eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne and Borderies terroirs, known for their power and elegance. The Cognac matures for an average of 15 to 35 years, using traditional copper stills and French oak barrels.
Its appearance is a golden amber with dark copper and mahogany highlights. The nose is characterized by spicy notes of black and pink pepper, coriander, fig, walnut, sandalwood, and hints of red berries. On the palate, it tastes full-bodied yet mellow, with intense notes of fig, red fruit, blackcurrant bud, vanilla, coffee, beeswax, and nutmeg. It finishes long, robust, and elegant, with a light spiciness and floral undertones like violet.
Martell XO is often admired for its distinctive arch-shaped bottle and is best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water, ideal for special occasions. It reflects the heritage and visionary spirit of Jean Martell, having been awarded prestigious accolades such as the Gold Medal at the 2017 Cognac Masters.
