Description from the seller
For sale is an extremely rare and impressive Russian four-field icon from the 19th century. The panel measures approximately 32 × 42 cm and was crafted using traditional techniques (egg tempera on Levkas, on solid wood, with two original Sponki).
The icon shows four significant representations.
Mother of God of Kazan
Mother of God 'Joy of all mourners'
The Holy Nikolaus, Johannes the Goldmund, and Katharina.
The transfer of the relics of St. Nicholas to Bari
