Description from the seller
Radio Philips B7X44A /01 Vintage Reverbeo (1964)
A PHILIPS B7X44A Reverbeo (reverb) is a stereo tube radio from 1963/1964, known for its classic sound and built-in 'Reverbeo' reverb function.
This radio was at the time the flagship in the radio field of Philips.
It is a high-quality model from the Plano series, designed for broad sound reproduction and equipped with 11 FM circuits and 6 AM circuits. The radio has 10 tubes, including two EL84s for stereo amplification (this means nothing to me, but it comes from the specifications).
This radio is still in wonderful condition considering its age.
Hardly any signs of use, and the wood is still very beautiful.
The radio has always worked perfectly (including the turntable connection), but unfortunately, it has been stored unused in the attic for the past 10 years.
Radio recently tested and appears to be fully functional.
The FM frequency performs well, and the sound is truly magnificent.
The four buttons at the top work perfectly, and the two left stereo knobs (fine-tuning) make the sound even fuller. I believe all the functions of the rotary knobs also work.
The green stereo light is also working.
The K, L, and M frequencies transmitted some signals, but mainly noise or crackling sounds.
The volume knob cracked when turned, which was less later on (corrosion?).
The internal antenna is a bit dirty and greasy. It hasn't been cleaned intentionally and probably affects the reception on non-FM channels. The antenna's tuning knob works fine.
The radio has certainly not been maintained for at least 20 years; it's definitely wise to have it done.
The testing was done with good conscience, although I unfortunately no longer knew all the functions.
It is possible that a small indicator light is not working (if there are two of them).
In short, a beautiful radio for enthusiasts or collectors.
Connoisseurs also recognize the value of these radios.
Shipping is possible, but given the weight and fragility, pickup is strongly preferred.
In the case of choosing shipping, the risk is for the buyer.
