AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Superb fossil tooth of the great white shark Carcharodon carcharias (Smith, 1838) from the Chilean Baia Inglesa Formation, dating from the Pliocene/Pleistocene. Approximately 5.3 to 2 million years ago. Based on the features, it could also belong to the ancestor Carcharodon hubbelli (Ehret et al. 2012), as the dentition is not as pronounced as that of the great white shark. This makes the tooth even more interesting and rare!
Size: 75mm x 51mm width. Length measured along the longest edge.
GW teeth from Chile are only very rarely offered in this size.
