The Michael Ochs Archives, located in Venice, California, contained 3 million vintage prints, proofs, and negatives that were frequently authorized for use in CD reissues, books, films, and documentaries.
The Los Angeles Times described Ochs as the 'chief archivist of rock'n'roll photos in America' and called his archives 'the dominant force in the rock image market.'
