Vandergammen Fils, Brussels – Moderateur Oil Lamp with Cylindrical Column Base

Made in Belgium by Vandergammen Fils, Brussels, circa 1890–1910.
A moderateur oil lamp composed of a brass burner assembly and a cast-metal columnar base with vertical fluting. The tall glass chimney is present and fits the burner.

Condition
Surface wear consistent with age. The cast-metal column shows material loss and perforations in several areas. The burner shows oxidation. Suitable as a decorative historical piece rather than for active use.
