Description from the seller

Signed on front cover by Procol Harum vocalist Gary Brooker (1945-2022) who sang on “A Whiter Shade of Pale”, one of the most imprtant songs in music history.

From a collection of a German collector who attented concerts and collected autographs himself for 50+ years. He also included notes on paper about when and where a signature was obtained.

Gary Brooker was a highly influential rock musician, best known as the soulful voice and pianist behind Procol Harum. His rich, emotive singing and elegant piano style helped shape the band’s unique blend of rock, classical, and blues influences, setting them apart during the late 1960s and 1970s.

Brooker co-wrote and sang the timeless classic “A Whiter Shade of Pale” one of the most recognizable songs in rock history. Its Bach-inspired organ melody and haunting lyrics captured the mood of the psychedelic era and made it an enduring symbol of 1960s music.

Beyond his work with Procol Harum, Brooker collaborated with renowned artists such as Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Alan Parsons, and Bill Wyman, earning widespread respect for his musicianship and artistry. His work helped bridge the gap between popular rock and classical sophistication, leaving a lasting legacy in the evolution of progressive rock.

LP condition: plays EX, plays great! Visually on one side visible marks from old inner sleeve.
Cover condition: as on photos, well preserved!
