Two hand-crafted Dutch silver miniature Amsterdam canal houses in .925 silver, dating to 1950s–1960s, in excellent condition, with the larger piece measuring about 19 × 17 mm and height 36 mm, total weight 28 g.
Description from the seller
Had never seen it before.
Two rare, handcrafted first-grade Dutch silver miniatures of Amsterdam canal houses.
The canal houses are particularly beautiful in shape and handcrafted with great detail.
Both are fully decorated and manually detailed on all four sides with many charming features, such as: the front and back have different facades, roof tiles on the roof, a gable at the top of the front, the back with doors and beautiful facades, windows, two round windows—one side with a reinforced wall and the other side with windows. Fully brick walls and much more (too much to list).
The most charming detail, in my opinion, is the little man on the stairs being waved goodbye by his wife (see photos).
De Grachtenpanden are both Dutch certified and marked with the Dutch silver hallmark, the sword symbol with '925' inside, indicating the high silver content of 925/1000 (first-grade silver).
The dimensions of the slightly larger miniature are 1.9 cm by 1.7 cm, with a height of 3.6 cm.
The total weight is 28.00 grams.
The miniatures are in an exceptional, rarely beautiful, and flawless condition.
These stunning, extremely rare handcrafted Dutch silver miniature canal houses are remarkable and particularly decorative objects due to their beautiful shape, detailed craftsmanship, and numerous exquisite details.
I've had hundreds of miniatures but had never seen this one before.
A miniature of an Amsterdam canal house is rare and is offered only very rarely.
Is carefully packed and shipped insured.
