Description from the seller

Cast bronze ring featuring a round bezel with four recessed circular dots enclosed by a raised geometric border. The design is both elegant and deeply symbolic — the four dots are believed to represent the four elements (earth, air, fire, water) or the four directions of the world, embodying balance, harmony, and protection.

Rings of this type were often worn as personal talismans during the Migration and early Viking periods (c. 5th–9th century CE), intended to safeguard the wearer and connect them to natural and cosmic forces. The simple, geometric artistry reflects early northern European craftsmanship, combining practicality with symbolic meaning.

Material: Bronze

Weight:
Condition: Very good; minor wear, stable dark patina, fine detail on bezel.
