43. ACCA XF+, 戰國時代-楚國, 蟻鼻錢(鬼臉錢), 咒字, 品優, 珍罕
蟻鼻錢形似海貝，是從貝幣演變而來的。其名稱乃因其形象而得。錢幣的正面有陰文，下端有孔，但大多未穿透，錢幣上的銘文，共11種。
這是中國戰國時代所流通的貨幣，年代約在西元前4世紀，錢幣正面的陰刻文字形似人臉，被稱為鬼臉，銘文特別，在湖北、湖南、河南、江蘇、安徽等地出土。以出土的地點墓葬和數量上看。蟻鼻錢鑄行於戰國早期（西元前5世紀），鬼臉錢則鑄行於大約西元前4─3世紀的戰國中晚期。因楚國疆土開始時並不算大，因此錢幣數量及流通不多，爾後隨著楚國疆域擴張，才流通至其他地區，逐漸在長江中下游一帶形成了獨立的貨幣體系，是中國古代一種極為特殊的錢幣。
這枚鬼臉錢的銘文極為清楚，是一個「咒」字，保存極佳，是罕見大型鬼臉錢，錢幣本身較大且厚，是品相極佳的一枚古錢，請喜歡的藏家不要錯過。
43. ACCA XF+, Warring States Period - State of Chu, Ant-Nose Coin (Ghost Face Coin), Inscription, Excellent Condition, Rare
The Ant-Nose Coin resembles a seashell and evolved from shell money. Its name comes from its shape. The front of the coin features incised characters, with a hole at the bottom, though most are not fully perforated. There are 11 types of inscriptions on these coins.
This is currency that circulated during China’s Warring States Period, around the 4th century BCE. The engraved characters on the coin’s front resemble human faces, hence called Ghost Face Coins. The inscriptions are unique and have been unearthed in Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui, and other regions. Based on excavation sites, tomb locations, and quantity found, Ant-Nose Coins were minted in the early Warring States Period (5th century BCE), while Ghost Face Coins were minted approximately during the mid-to-late Warring States Period (4th–3rd century BCE). Because the Chu state’s territory was initially not very large, the number and circulation of its coins were limited. Later, as the territory expanded, these coins circulated in other regions, gradually forming an independent monetary system in the middle and lower Yangtze River area. It is a highly unique type of ancient Chinese coin.
The inscription on this Ghost Face Coin is exceptionally clear, depicting the character “咒” (curse or spell) and is in excellent preservation. It is a rare large Ghost Face Coin, larger and thicker than usual, making it a coin in superb condition. Collectors who appreciate such pieces should not miss it.
