Obverse (Portrait): Profile of King George V, surrounded by the Latin motto "GEORGIUS V DEI GRA BRITT OMN REX" (meaning "Georgius V, by the grace of God, King of Great Britain and all the land");
Reverse: A British lion standing on a crown, accompanied by the inscription "ONE SHILLING" (1 shilling) and "IND IMP" (Emperor of India, the British colonial title at the time).
