Philips, model 202, manufactured in 1970, is in very good physical condition and has been tested and is functional.
Description from the seller
For sale: Philips 22GA202
This is a perfectly functioning electronic hi-fi/stereo record player from 1970. The turntable has a very constant rotational speed that is insensitive to voltage and frequency variations. The three rotational speeds of 33, 45, and 78 rpm can be adjusted very precisely with the three rotary knobs under the pickup arm. The turntable is belt-driven and, together with the tonearm, has a beautiful floating suspension that can compensate for almost any bump and ensures very low rumble. The slider for transverse force compensation is also located on the right side. The tonearm has a semi-hydraulic arm lift for safe and precise needle positioning. At the end of a record, there is an automatic switch-off via a light-sensitive cell.
The arm houses the 22GP400 cartridge with a new stylus. The cartridge and stylus are mounted on a slider that can be quickly removed and replaced, for example, with a slider with a special cartridge and stylus suitable for 78 rpm records.
The Philips record player has a nice shiny dust cover without cracks and only a few unnoticeable scratches.
The turntable has been serviced, fully adjusted according to service documentation, and extensively tested. In short, one of the best turntables ever built by Philips.
The on/off switch has been replaced. The original audio cord has been replaced with a cord with high-quality tulip plugs.
The turntable is carefully packaged in multiple layers of polystyrene and bubble wrap, and placed in a very sturdy cardboard box. The platter is packaged separately. The spring-loaded inner section is secured in place with transport screws.
Collection is possible and of course the record player can be listened to.
SHIPPING ONLY TO COUNTRIES WITHIN THE EUROPEAN UNION.
