A pair of expressive Balinese ceremonial masks, richly carved from wood and hand-painted in polychrome. Both masks display the typical theatrical facial features of Balinese dance and shadow play, with large eyes, teeth, tusks, and a long hanging tongue – traditionally symbolizing the protective yet fearsome Rangda/Barong figures.
