Description from the seller
LUPELA desk lamp, cataloged as model 259 from the 1960s. Designed by Jose Luís Gugel Sancha for Lupela España. Its futuristic design and articulated structure give it a unique character.
The company LUPELA was created by LUis PErez LAnzas (abbreviation). Luis had two children: Fernando Perez de la Oliva, who later registered the trademark LUPELA, and Luis Pérez de la Oliva, who founded the well-known company FASE with another partner. Fernando bought the manufacturing rights for five lamps by designer Jose Luis Gugel Sacha: Reina, Cobra, 225, 226, and Cisne, and agreed with his brother Luis Perez de la Oliva that FASE would not manufacture articulated lamps. The rest is history: the brothers did not honor the pact, and FASE designed and produced desk lamps inspired by LUPELA models.
The lamp I am auctioning is model 259 in black and gray. The shade features a glass diffuser and can rotate in all directions. Absolutely all parts of the lamp are original, including the electrical components (plugs, switch, socket), and it even retains its original sticker.
The lamp is in a vintage condition and shows signs of use, mainly scratches on the paint. Please carefully review the photographs, as they are part of the product description.
Shipments outside the European Union may incur customs duties. The seller will not bear the costs of tariffs or export expenses outside the European Union. Buyers outside the European Union will assume the costs of importation and tariffs.
