The Beovox Cona was B&O's first subwoofer speaker. It was specifically intended for use with the Beovox CX 50 and CX 100 speakers, to augment bass in situations where the placement of the speakers meant that it would otherwise be lacking. The Beovox Cona featured a single large drive unit wrapped with a special dual voice coil, so that the bass from the left and right channels were magnetically summed and reproduced in equal proportion. Only one Cona was needed for a complete installation and no special amplifier was required, although the amplifier had to be quite powerful to obtain the full benefit.

The MCL 2P 1741 is a high-quality stereo power amplifier designed primarily for local source capability and independent volume control of passive loudspeakers. However, it can be used with any Bang & Olufsen product that features Power Link outputs, a clever and perfect invention from B&O.
Now you can drive all passive speakers using the MCL 2P.
