DESCRIPTION:
Producer: Mauro Molino
Wine: Barolo DOCG
Vintage: 2018
Number of Bottles: 6
Size: 0.75
Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
Aging: 18 months in French oak barriques
Alc.: 14.5%
Mauro Molino's Barolo is ideal for all wine connoisseurs who enjoy dry wines. However, it is never austere or fragile, but rather rounded and smooth. This creamy and dense red wine is full-bodied and multifaceted on the palate. Thanks to the balanced acidity of the fruit, Barolo flatters the palate with a pleasant sensation without lacking freshness. On the finish, this mature red wine from the Piedmont wine region delights with its exceptional length. Hints of morello and black cherry emerge. Mineral notes from the limestone and clay soils add to the finish.
This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, Nebbiolo. Only the finest grapes were used for this powerful single-varietal wine from Mauro Molino. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Piedmont, where the vines are rooted in clay and limestone soils. Barolo is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian wine exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this Italian red wine are harvested exclusively by hand at optimum ripeness. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press, where they are carefully selected and pressed. Fermentation follows in small oak barrels at a controlled temperature. After this process, the Barolo is aged in oak barriques for 18 months.
