Art Deco Egyptian-style mantel clock (circa 1925–1935) in natural onyx with patinated metal and gilded-bronze accents, featuring a mechanical 8-day movement with half-hour strike on a bell and gong, made in France by F-Exacta, 69 cm wide × 30 cm high × 5 cm deep, approx. 15 kg, winding key included, in good used condition with light aging and not in working order.
Description from the seller
Superb Art Deco fireplace clock (circa 1925–1935), made of natural onyx and patinated metal, in an Egyptian-inspired style.
A very decorative and authentic piece from the Art Deco era, inspired by the Egyptomania of the 1920s. The set is complete: a central clock accompanied by its two matching side cups, all made of solid onyx with beautiful natural shades.
The mechanical movement is old and signed F-Exacta, a recognized French manufacturer from the 1920s-1930s. The mechanism is complete; however, it stopped working some time ago and will require servicing (which is typical for antique clocks). The balance wheel will also need to be replaced.
The piece is heavy and of fine quality, with decorative elements in patinated metal and touches of gilded bronze, characteristic of Art Deco.
Dimensions and weight
Very heavy ensemble (about 15 kg).
- Pendulum + two original cups.
Ideal for collectors, Art Deco enthusiasts, or those interested in refined decoration.
