Luigi XVI chest of drawers – late 18th century – probable Friulian origin.

Elegant Luigi XVI chest of drawers from the late eighteenth century, likely originating from Friuli. The piece is made of walnut, with filleting on the fronts of the drawers and on the sides, typical of the production of northeastern Italy in the late eighteenth-century period.

The structure features five drawers with a flush closure: two smaller upper drawers and three full lower drawers. The vents and locks are original, confirming the authenticity of the furniture and its consistent preservation on the front.

Over time, the chest of drawers has undergone some modifications.
Most probably, it was originally a stage, then transformed.
The feet are not coeval with the structure and constitute a subsequent addition.

Condition: the furniture is generally in good condition; there are cracks on the top, while the sides are well preserved. Normal signs of age are present, consistent with the period.
