The Contax Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.4 MMJ is a legendary standard prime lens for Contax/Yashica (C/Y) mount cameras. Renowned for its sharpness, rich color rendition, and smooth bokeh, it is one of the most popular lenses in the Zeiss Planar lineup. The T* multi-coating reduces flare and increases contrast, making it excellent for both film and digital use via adapters. The MMJ version (Made in Japan) is the later production type, compatible with Program and Shutter-priority modes on Contax bodies.
