The "Réserve Spéciale" rum is produced in Martinique at the Rhum J.M. distillery. It is distilled from sugarcane juice in a column still. This rum has an alcohol content of 45%. On the nose, one perceives aromas of spices, tropical fruits, and dry notes, while on the palate, one finds spicy, peppery, and tropical fruit flavors. Bottled 2014 La Mauny Héritage Élevé Sous Bois Rum is a rich and refined creation from the renowned Martinique distillery La Mauny. This expression is a tribute to the distillery's heritage and ancestral expertise in the art of producing rhum agricole. Aged in oak casks, this rum was then finished in casks that previously held Ruby Port.
