Mattheus Seutter (1678-1757) was a leading German cartographer and map publisher from the 18th century.
He moved to Nuremberg, where he apprenticed as an engraver under the guardianship of the prominent J.B. Homann.
Most of Seutter's maps were largely based on, if not copies of, earlier works by the companies Homann and Delisle.
