Piero Benevelli, Le Coste di Monforte Barolo 2020, three 0.75 L bottles.
Description from the seller
Appearance: In the glass, it has a bright garnet red colour, typical of young Nebbiolo.
Aromas: The nose offers a bouquet of aromas ranging from red and dark fruit (cherry, blackberry) to floral notes of rose and wilted flowers. There are also hints of spice, tobacco and light mineral nuances.
Palate: It is elegant and well-balanced on the palate. Despite its youth, the tannins are already present but well-integrated and soft, thanks in part to ageing in large oak barrels. The remarkable acidity, typical of the Monforte terroir, gives it freshness and liveliness, making it a wine that can be enjoyed immediately, while also having great ageing potential. The finish is long and harmonious, with a complexity that develops over time.
Vinification and Ageing:
Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts and a long maceration on the skins. The wine is then aged for about 24 months in large French oak barrels. This production choice aims to preserve the purest expression of the terroir and the grape variety.
Piero Benevelli's 'Le Coste di Monforte' 2020 is a wine that perfectly embodies the winery's traditional style: straightforward, authentic and capable of expressing all the power and elegance of Barolo wines.Monforte.Appearance: In the glass, it has a bright garnet red colour, typical of young Nebbiolo.
