Art Deco frosted pressed glass vase, circa 1930, bearing a moulded CCC monogram, from France, in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear, height 24.5 cm.
Description from the seller
Art Deco vase – frosted pressed glass – circa 1930 – marked with monogram ‘CCC’
Beautiful and impressive Art Deco vase made of poured and partially matte glass, featuring decorative figurative reliefs of drapery figures in motion, typical of the sleek yet sculptural aesthetic of 1925–1935.
The vase is quite large and heavy, which indicates production in a quality glass factory.
Below, there is a glass-embedded monogram of three intertwined Cs (CCC). This monogram is often attributed to Cristalleries de Compiègne (France, active circa 1920–1939), a glass factory known for high-quality pressed glass Art Deco pieces with frosted figures, in the style of Etling and Sabino.
The design features eight women figures arranged alternately, flanked by vertical geometric ribs. The strong light-shadow effect makes this model particularly decorative.
