Description from the seller
Elegant French Silver (800) Serving Set – Minerva & Silversmith Auguste Girard (c. 1921–1930) – 3 Pieces
A refined French serving trio consisting of a cake server, salad fork, and salad spoon, each fitted with richly decorated solid silver handles.
A rare set combining Minerva 2nd standard (800 silver), the hallmark of the French state, and the registered maker’s mark A.G for Auguste Girard, active in Paris between 1921–1930, identified by his punch: a shield surmounted by a count’s crown.
The two salad pieces (fork and spoon) also carry the boar’s head hallmark, confirming 800 silver for small items.
The functional ends are made of traditional materials:
– The cake server with gilded metal blade
– The fork and spoon with natural horn bowls (warm honey colour, classic for early-20th-century serving pieces)
The handles are decorated in high relief with acanthus leaves, scrolls and neoclassical ornaments, typical of refined Parisian craftsmanship.

Boar’s head (small objects, 800 silver fineness)
Silversmith A.G – Auguste Girard, Paris
