This sumptuous jacquard upholstery fabric captures the essence of Baroque classicism, reinterpreted in a refined and modern way. The design unfolds on a deep blue base, interwoven with sumptuous antique gold floral motifs, creating a perfect balance between ornamental richness and chromatic sobriety.
The large, stylized leaves and corollas, accompanied by sinuous scrolls, seem inspired by the frescoes of eighteenth-century noble palaces. Every detail is woven with precision, thanks to the jacquard weave that ensures three-dimensional definition and a play of light that changes depending on the angle, making the fabric lively and vibrant.
This fabric stands out for its strength, thickness, and a full-bodied yet flowing hand, ideal for upholstering armchairs, sofas, decorative panels, or headboards. It is said that a very similar fabric, in shades of blue and gold, was chosen to upholster the boudoir of a Turin marchioness in the early 20th century. The fabric, then hand-woven, was ordered from a French manufacturer based on a custom design, and contributed to making that salon one of the most photographed of the Belle Époque.
