The albums of Tintin are often hard to find in Farsi, but the albums of Jo, Zette and Jocko are extremely rare. Who has seen these albums before? Almost no one!
This lot includes:
Destination New York
Manitoba is no longer responding.
These two albums were published by Oriental in 1983.
Both albums are in very poor condition, but they are very rare.
The two other albums are:
The secret of Mr. Pump
The Najavallei.
The publisher of these albums is Shapigel (Publishing)/Teheran.
We need to calculate for the year of issue.
In the country where Farsi is spoken, the Solar Hijri (SH) calendar is used.
It is mentioned in the colophon.
1382 BC and 1383 BC. To this count, one must add 621 to arrive at the Christian calendar. This results in 2003 and 2004. The albums were purchased by me in Tehran in 2004.
The fifth album is not by Hergé but by Craenhals, and it is 'De Koekoeroe' from 'De 4 helden / Les 4 As'. On the back of the album, we see a drawing associated with Tintin, and Hergé is mentioned as the author in the colophon! This makes it a funny and collectible album.
The books are carefully packed and sent via Post.nl, insured, and with the usual Track & Trace service.
Due to the uncertain situation regarding import tariffs with the US, we DO NOT ship to the US.
