Description from the seller

Splendid set consisting of 10 appetizer plates, 10 first course plates, and 10 main course plates, produced by Richard Ginori manufactory. The plates are in good condition, made in the 1950s, with a distinctive raised edge.

A tableware service with classic lines, 'Doccia' is the place where, in 1735, the artistic and entrepreneurial intuition of Marquis Carlo Ginori led to the founding of the historic Manifattura, the factory of white gold. This particular service is decorated with a refined enhancement of porcelain along the rim, originating from a reinterpretation of the timeless Antico Doccia model. The typical fluting of the Antico Doccia model, inspired by Florentine Baroque silverware, is reinterpreted: while the profile of the plate remains wavy, embossed decorations appear that evoke ornaments from tableware of German manufactories, inspired by the services of the royal courts of Central Europe.

Very rare object, of great class.

General conditions are good, with no obvious defects or chips. Some plates may show slight cracking or mild yellowing.
