Spice box - Oak

Solid carved wooden box for nails, with an iron pin and bronze fittings. Early to mid-19th century France.
Shows scratches and wear, typical of its age and use (see images for an accurate idea of the condition). The wood has not been touched and has only been nourished with virgin beeswax. It weighs 850 grams and measures 26.5 centimeters in length, 8.5 centimeters in width, and 9 centimeters in height.
Its clasp style and age make it an exceptionally rare piece.
