This specimen, originating from the Midelt district (Morocco), is a rare case where tiny crystals of pyrite are trapped inside a transparent yellow fluorite. It weighs 51 grams and measures 51 × 38 × 26 mm: compact proportions that create a surprisingly striking visual impact.

The crystal displays sharp, clear surfaces, with a bright yellow hue that allows delicate internal 'ghosts' with bluish and pinkish shades to be seen through transparency, evidence of pauses in growth and chemical-physical variations of the mineralizing fluid. Within the mass, distinct tiny gold pyrite microcubes are suspended like small points of light: a rare and fascinating collectible event, made possible by the exceptional optical purity of the fluorite.

From a mineralogical perspective, the yellow coloration is related to color centers and lattice defects, sometimes activated by natural radiation, while 'phantom' zoning records successive deposition phases. Euhedral inclusions of pyrite tell the story of the interaction between sulfur- and iron-rich solutions during crystal growth, in a hydrothermal environment typical of the Midelt area.

It is not just a showcase specimen, but a small lesson in mineralogy in transparency: solar hue, internal ghosts, and perfectly legible pyrite make it a reference for excellent Moroccan fluorite.
