Unique and rare signed copy by Franco Fontana on the title page, accompanied by a postcard also signed by Franco Fontana and reproducing one of the full-page photographs in the book. (It should be noted that the signature on the back of the book is a facsimile signature, which a seller on another well-known site presents as the photographer's signature). The two signatures offered here are authentic. 72 pages and 72 color photographs, more than half of which are full-page or double-page, with texts in Italian and English, softcover illustrated.

Franco Fontana, undisputed master of color photography and photographic composition lines, here plays with the curves of the female body and the complementarity of colors, with the ochre of the bodies—most often nude—and the infinite varieties of blue, as well as the complementary colors of underwear (quickly discarded on the ground) or bath towels. This book gathers small-format photographs produced with a Polaroid camera and large-format photographs taken with a 24 x 36 camera.

Franco Fontana was born in 1933 and gained worldwide fame shortly after the publication of Skyline in the early 1980s as a master of color photography. A retrospective in his honor was organized at the Rencontres internationales de la photographie d’Arles in 1985, along with many other exhibitions around the world since then. In an absolutely original way, he was able, through subtle geometry, to transform natural landscapes or urban scenes into lines and surfaces that are purely abstract.
