Description from the seller
This exceptionally signed portfolio by Paolo Roversi of Natalia Vodianova was published in issue No. 15 of the magazine L'Egoïste around 2010 (indeed, this magazine did not have a regular publication date, and no date appears in the issue itself; we only know that issue No. 17 was published in 2015).
The magazine is characterized by its very large format, and this issue features six full-page photographs of Natalia measuring 25 cm by 33 cm. Additionally, there is a giant double-page photograph measuring 33 cm by 55 cm. The cover photo is signed at the bottom right (unique and not found elsewhere on the internet). In this issue 15, which is a double issue, there are also other photographs by Paolo Roversi with different models who are not named, most of which are advertising photographs (see photos).
It was only in 2018 that Paolo Roversi published a book titled 'But this portfolio in the magazine L’Egoiste is earlier,' and it is all the more precious because of that. These photographs were taken by Paolo Roversi in 1983 in his Paris studio, when Natalia, who was only 21 and at the peak of her brilliant career, was at the time. Natalia Vodianova was one of the most prestigious models of the 1980s to 2000s, and Paolo Roversi worked with her on numerous advertising campaigns for Calvin Klein, Chanel, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, L'Oréal, and others.
This double issue also features photographic contributions by Ellen von Unwerth, Bettina Rheims, Alice Spring, François-Marie Banier, Frank Horvat, and a few others, with photographs of nudes and/or fashion. All are in excellent condition (practically as new).
)
On the magazine L'Egoïste, which is published intermittently, one can read an article from Le Monde (https://www.lemonde.fr/culture/article/2015/01/22/le-phenix-egoiste_4561203_3246.html).
