Description from the seller

Nice and well-functioning Harman Kardon amplifier HK6300 + Harman Kardon tuner TU909. Cleaned and tested for proper functioning.

Description of Harman Kardon HK6300:
The HK6300 is a fully integrated stereo amplifier from the late 1980s / early 1990s, designed by Harman Kardon. It combines a neutral yet slightly warm sound character with solid build quality. There is a phono stage capable of handling both MM and MC cartridges (including turntables with low output signals), and it offers multiple line inputs (tuner, CD, video, tape) plus tape monitor options. Thanks to the subsonic filter (~15 Hz) and the 'phase-correct loudness,' you can maintain a full, controlled sound reproduction even at low volumes.

The amplifier does not have a remote control, which is quite typical for this type of simple, reliable semi-pro hi-fi from that era. It is praised for its good damping factor (which keeps your speakers tightly under control) and reasonable power to drive slightly heavier speakers.

Sound experience & User impressions
Neutral but musical amplifier, with a solid and no-nonsense character.
Thanks to the good damping factor, you get tight bass response, even at low volume or with difficult speakers.
Suitable for use with turntables, thanks to MM/MC phono input.
Having multiple tape monitor loops makes it convenient for copying or recording with a cassette or tape recorder.
Ideal for vintage hi-fi sets where reliability and clarity are important.

Description of the Harman Kardon TU909 tuner.
The TU909 is an FM/AM tuner from Harman Kardon, featuring digital synthetic quartz-locked tuning — which ensures stable and accurate reception. Released in the late 80s / early 90s. It has 18 preset memories, allowing you to save your favorite radio stations. Thanks to digital tuning (instead of analog 'seek'), you can tune precisely.

The housing is quite slim and minimalist, which fits well in a classic hi-fi stack alongside amplifiers like the HK6300. Despite its simplicity, it still offers solid performance in terms of noise, selectivity, and distortion for a tuner from that era.

User experience
Good tuner for FM reception, with reliable tuning and a stable signal thanks to quartz-lock.
Thanks to 18 presets, you can quickly switch between your favorite stations.
The combination of reasonably good SNR and low distortion results in pure radio sound, especially in a vintage hi-fi set.
• Prima matches with amplifiers like the HK6300, both visually and technically.
