Septarian natural meteorite, free-form, from Madagascar, measuring 20 cm high, 13 cm wide and 10 cm deep, weighing 2.883 kg.
Description from the seller
This mineral formed approximately 50-70 million years ago, during the terrestrial Cretaceous. Geodes form from masses of magma whose uneven and very slow cooling inside allows minerals to arrange themselves orderly according to a crystal lattice. On the inner walls of such geodes, groups of crystals (among the most common quartz, zeolites, carbonates, and sulfates) can develop, 'grown' thanks to the particular chemical composition and the relatively high temperature (from 850 to 50 °C) of hydrothermal fluids percolating through the rock. The term geode refers not only to the internal cavity of an igneous rock, which tends to have a spherical shape, but also to the crystalline formation that encloses it. Septaria is a formation mainly composed of calcite and clay, characterized by a series of fissures that resemble septa (dividing walls inside corals), hence the name SEPTARIA. In crystal therapy, septaria helps to overcome negative emotions such as stress, anger, and laziness. Septaria is also called the 'Dragon Egg' because it is often found in the shape of an egg with black druzy crystals inside, resembling a dragon's egg.
SEPTARIA in its natural state, its shape and appearance resemble a heart, an object rich in that charm belonging to magical worlds.
Origin: Madagascar
Pedestal not included, made from recycled material used solely for photographic purposes.
Happy bidding.
