Table mirror - Bronze - Mirror Art Noveau Nymph

We are pleased to offer for sale a monumental and unique toilet mirror, which embodies the style of Secesji (Art Nouveau) from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is an item of exceptional craftsmanship and significant dimensions.

Size and weight: This is a rare item, measuring 54 cm (21.25 in) in height, 25 cm (9.85 in) in width, and weighing 2.0 kg (4.4 lbs), significantly larger than standard toilet mirrors. Its impressive presence immediately draws the eye.

The lustre was made from solid bronze cast, not brass, which is confirmed by the exceptionally pure, ringing resonance when struck. Bronze is valued higher due to its historical use in artistic sculpture.

The base is exquisitely shaped like a nymph or Caryatid, with a fluid, graceful silhouette that perfectly captures the aesthetic of Art Nouveau lines (whiplash).

Condition: very good, antique. The bronze is covered with a beautiful, original, dark patina that should be preserved. There are no signs of modern repairs or aggressive polishing.
