Vintage brass photographic lens signed by E. Français – Paris, bearing serial number 2128.
This authentic piece, dating from the late 19th century (around 1880), testifies to the exceptional craftsmanship of the earliest French optical manufacturers for large format photographic cameras.
This model is a rectilinear (or flat) lens, a design highly prized at the time for its ability to produce a clear, distortion-free image, ideal for studio, architecture, or landscape photography.
