Description from the seller
Ushabtis, small clay figures often shaped like mummies, are associated with the Late Bronze Age in Canaan. These figures, also known as shabti dolls, were usually made of faience (glazed clay) and bore hieroglyphic inscriptions, reflecting Egyptian influence. They were placed in tombs as talismans, to serve the deceased in the afterlife.
