Ceramiche di Bassano del Grappa, Italy, model 73003, a vintage 1960s 13‑piece square/octagonal dinnerware set for 6 with green craquelé ceramic plates and yellow glaze pieces, from Veneto, Italy, in excellent unused condition.
Description from the seller
I am selling a splendid and rare vintage tableware set for 6 people from the renowned manufacturer Ceramiche di Bassano del Grappa, Italy.
This set stands out for its original square/octagonal shape with rounded corners, a refined design element that makes it perfect for collectors or for a visually striking table setting. The plates feature the typical naturalistic design, with the central fig leaf/vine element embossed on the dinner plate.
Each plate in this set is a unique piece, a testament to the artisanal craftsmanship typical of Bassano ceramics.
Artisan Variations
Due to the handcrafting process and the use of dip/brush glazing, you'll notice that the green hue and yellow/orange color distribution may vary slightly from piece to piece. This inconsistency isn't a defect, but rather the artisan's signature.
Crackle Glaze: The green finish features the authentic craquelure effect (a network of tiny cracks in the glaze), which develops over time and adds vintage charm and character.
Service Details (Total 13 Pieces):
6 Piatto Piano: Square shape, with a raised leaf design, made of craquelé green ceramic. (24 x 24 cm)
6 Deep Plate: Square-shaped, with a raised leaf design in yellow - as visible in the photo - (20 x 20 cm).
1. Serving dish: Square shape, with a yellow relief leaf design (27 x 27 cm).
Features and Condition: Excellent, never used
Manufacturer: Ceramics, Bassano del Grappa, Italy.
