Description from the seller
The Dognapper
Original Mickey Mouse and "Long-Billed" Donald Duck Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934)
This rare original production drawing comes from Walt Disney's 1934 action-packed short The Dognapper, featuring Mickey Mouse and an early version of Donald Duck as police officers in hot pursuit of the villainous Pegleg Pete. After Pete kidnaps Minnie's pup, Fifi, the determined yet bumbling officers take off on a wild chase, leading them over bridges and through a perilous sawmill in an attempt to bring the crook to justice! This exciting sequence, seen near the 1:20 timestamp, captures Mickey and Donald racing after Pete on their police motorcycle, showcasing the fast-paced, "rubber hose" animation style of the era. Drawing is beautifully illustrated in graphite on 12-field 2-peghole animation paper, numbered 22. Directed by Disney Legend David Hand, The Dognapper was animated by two of "Walt's Nine Old Men"-Les Clark and Ham Luske. Notably, this short is one of six Mickey Mouse cartoons still playing at Disneyland's Main Street Cinema, making these production drawings a fantastic find for Disneyland and vintage animation collectors alike.
In Good condition, with age-related toning and edge wear, this is a true gem of early Disney animation history!
