Daniel Meyer’s Le Mobilier de Versailles - XVIIe et XVIIIe siècle is an original two-volume monograph on the Versailles furniture, published in 2002 by Editions Faton, in French, with 301 and 302 pages and in very good condition.

Original edition of this reference monograph on the furniture of the Palace of Versailles, known for housing one of the most prestigious collections of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Complete in two volumes.
The first volume, dedicated to the king's furniture collection and that of Queen Marie-Antoinette, features 75 of the most beautiful pieces. The second volume describes 105 pieces that belonged to the royal family or other court dignitaries, listed in chronological order, highlighting the evolution of taste.
In total, 180 pieces of furniture or sets were photographed, many with detailed views, sometimes showing the furniture open with their mechanisms and secrets that the visitor will never see; more than 550 shots were taken under exceptional conditions.
The text provides the order history whenever it is known, the stylistic description, and the current location.
Full cloth red edition, with illustrated dust jackets and slipcase. Copy in very good condition, with the dust jacket slightly creased on volume 1. Clean interiors, with the paper slightly warped on volume 1, without any water damage or humidity marks.
