Description from the seller
The Calys expedition (Jean Bernard Pouy) + the Sanders-Hardmuth expedition (Patrick Ommier and Jean Bernard Pouy)
The Calys expedition
In the early 1940s, Professor Calys embarked, along with five other scientists, a young Belgian reporter, and a seasoned captain, aboard the polar ship "L'Aurore." The goal of the expedition was to find the famous "Mysterious Star" that had fallen into the Arctic Ocean and to collect a fragment of precious calystene, an unknown metal on Earth. Over sixty years later, here at last are the lives and works of these six scientists, reconstructed with the meticulousness, scientific rigor, and (especially?) the imagination required for such a publication.
2005 - 1000 copies
Dimension 20 cm x 20.5 cm - 46 pages
2 - The Sanders-Hardmuth Expedition
First publication of the official biobibliography of the seven members of the famous Sanders-Hardmuth expedition that went to Peru from 1946 to 1948, in search of the legendary treasure of Rascar-Capac, 'the one who unleashes the fire of the sky'.
2005 - 1,000 copies
Dimension 20 cm x 20.5 cm - 46 pages
