Description from the seller
Robert Sonneman Mors International Penta lamp Memphis style 1980s.
This Robert Sonneman Penta lamp, designed for Mors International Deventer in the 1980s, is a distinctive example of postmodern design with a Memphis signature. Graphic geometry, expressive colors, and an architectural base give this table lamp the typical cheerful, challenging, and functional character that made the Memphis collective great.
Robert Sonneman, known as a pioneer in modern lighting architecture, emphasized that light shapes the atmosphere and perception of a space. This design perfectly demonstrates that: the object is sculptural, the light is functional, and the visual impact is strong, without unnecessary decoration.
The lamp is made of metal with powder-coated elements and a sleek front surface, maintaining a balance between industrial and playful. It is a special collector's item for enthusiasts of radical design history and for interiors where bold, graphic statements are welcome.
