The Ibero-Roman mint of Bolskan belongs to the Iberian city of the same name and corresponds to the current city of Huesca, in Aragon. It was an important coin mint with the legend 'bolśkan' (in Iberian characters, of northeastern Iberian script) and is associated with the pre-Roman peoples of Ilergetes or Suesetans. During the Sertorian wars, Bolskan was the operational center of Sertorius, and was later renamed Osca by the Romans.
Although the territory occupied by the Suessetani was destroyed by the Roman praetor Aulus Terentius Varron around 179 B.C., the city of Bolskan, famous for its mint, was respected, although its name was changed to Osca.
