Age: Late Cretaceous, Campanian stage (~ 82.4-74.4 million years)

DESCRIPTION:
Maiasaura is a large herbivorous saurolophine hadrosaurid ("duck-billed") dinosaur genus that lived in the area currently covered by the state of Montana and the Canadian province of Alberta, in the Upper Cretaceous (mid to late Campanian), from 86.3 to 70.6 million years ago. Maiasaura is the state fossil of Montana.
Here we present an extremely rare batch of 3 eggshell fragments from this species of "duck-billed" hadrosaurid. Extremely rare to find nowadays. The characteristic surface structure is truly well-defined and beautiful. A rarity worthy of the most discerning collections.
