Description from the seller

A magnificent, very large tooth from the extinct large-tooth shark, Megaselachus megalodon. The tooth has beautifully preserved serrations and a beautiful yellow/brown/orange color. The tip is still razor-sharp. This tooth is 13.3 cm long and 10.6 cm wide. It was found in a sandstone layer near Sukabumi in West Java, Indonesia. The tooth dates from the Miocene and is between 15 and 20 million years old. The root of the tooth has some weathering, but otherwise, the tooth is in its natural state. The photos speak for themselves.
