Bénitier, Art Deco period stele from around 1925-1930. Depicting Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (1873-1897), canonized in 1925 by Pope Pius XI. The subject is in green patina régule, in the style of Max Le Verrier's productions, but signed 'M Font' on the back for Marty Font, a sculptor specialized in animals during the Art Deco period. Rare religious sculpture in good condition. Mounted on a gray marble paving stone serving as a receptacle. Height 30cm, length 12cm. Maximum thickness of the plaque 1.6cm. Marble base measuring 15cm x 11cm. Weight over 2.1 kg.
