Bauhaus desk lamp signed by KAISER I DELL (model 6561), 1940-1950.
Christian Dell (1893-1974), a German goldsmith and designer, began creating his luminaires in 1926 for Kaiser & Co, known as 'Kaiser Idell'. They were mainly produced during the post-war period. C. Dell played a very important role alongside Walter Gropius in defining the Bauhaus style.
The lacquered email has been fully restored, with no missing parts. There is a slight, barely perceptible trace related to age on the lampshade.
