Coin 1: Don Juan 1913-1993, 5 ECU - Proof – EDITION 50,000 pieces. RARE.
Commemorative coin for Infante Juan, Count of Barcelona (Juan Carlos Teresa Silverio Alfonso de Borbón y Battenberg; 20 June 1913 – 1 April 1993). He was a pretender to the Spanish throne as Juan III. He was the third son and heir apparent of King Alfonso XIII of Spain and Queen Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg. His father was replaced by the Second Spanish Republic in 1931. Juan's son, Juan Carlos I, became King of Spain with the restoration of the constitutional monarchy in 1975.

He was heir apparent and later head of the nascent House of Habsburg. His dominions in Europe included the Holy Roman Empire, stretching from Germany to northern Italy with rule over the Austrian hereditary lands and the Burgundian Netherlands, and Spain with its possessions of the southern Italian kingdoms of Naples, Sicily, and Sardinia. In the Americas, he oversaw the continuation of Spanish colonization and a brief German colonization. The personal union of the European and American territories he ruled was the first set of kingdoms labeled "the empire on which the sun never sets."
