Each figure is a hand-painted unique piece.
Through careful firing at 800 °C, the porcelain achieves a mirror-smooth surface and becomes extremely hard, preventing cracks or hairline fractures. In traditional porcelain painting, each figure is lovingly decorated with cheerful colors. This is done entirely by hand with a brush, not through a standardized foil coating. Therefore, each figure is slightly different and uniquely unmistakable.
Massimo Giacon
Massimo Giacon, born in 1961 in Padua, is a comic artist and illustrator, and is considered a pioneer of the renewal of the Italian comics scene. He divides his time between activities as a graphic designer, artist, designer, and musician.
LPWK – Laura Polinoro:
Laura Polinoro, born in Bergamo, completed a degree in art and communication at DAMS in Bologna. She initially worked in the field of contemporary dance, where she was involved in artistic coordination, costumes, and stage design. Subsequently, she worked as a researcher at Domus Academy in Milan. From 1990 to 1998, she led the Centro Studi Alessi, where she coordinated workshops both within the company and in collaboration with universities and design centers worldwide as a meta-designer and art director. During this period, she developed numerous editorial and communication projects. The products produced during this time are marked with the abbreviation 'CSA'. Since 2004, the products she has overseen bear the label 'LPWK'.
