Description from the seller

Offered here is an original Piston Action Robot, also known as “PUG”, made by Nomura (TN) around 1957. It is one of the iconic Japanese tin robots from the post-war era. This is the silver version with red legs, a particularly desirable variant. The robot is battery-operated and controlled via its remote. When activated, it walks forward while the pistons in its head illuminate and move rapidly up and down.

Overall, the robot is in good aesthetic condition, with no major dents, rust, or structural issues (only the natural, honest patina expected from a nearly 70-year-old toy that at some point was played with). The remote’s battery compartment is clean.

The dome appears to be a later replacement, as its fit is not perfectly aligned (see photos), but it presents well and maintains the robot’s classic appearance. The hands are high-quality replicas. Stamped between the legs is “Made in Japan,” still visible though softened by age. A classic from Nomura, and a small but iconic symbol of how the future once looked. Images are part of the description.
