Enamel advertising board for Palm Speciale by Emaillerie Belge S.A., Belgium, dating to 1970–1980, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear and measuring 147 cm by 47 cm.
Description from the seller
In excellent condition, an enamel advertising sign of Palm Beer from Belgium, made in the 1980s by Emaillerie Belge. The sign still features beautiful, bright colors and letters & images that are embossed on the sign. Furthermore, the advertising sign has multiple, intact hanging eyes. It is also signed on the bottom with 'Emaillerie Belge.'
The brewery has a centuries-old history, but the name 'Palm' dates back to 1929. Initially, the beer was called Speciale Palm, referring both to the Belgian beer style Spéciale and to the palm on the logo, symbolizing the victory of high fermentation beer over low fermentation pilsner. In the 2000s, the beers were rebranded. Both the names changed (for example, 'Speciale' disappeared) and the logo: the palm was removed. However, the Brabant draft horse remained on the logo. At the end of January 2012, the labels were updated again. The draft horse remains, but only as a non-colored drawing. The brown color with white mane disappeared. Additionally, the text 'Speciale Belge Ale' was added to the label.
Dimensions are; 147x47 cm.
Sent registered and carefully packed to guarantee the integrity of the item. And for combined purchases, one shipping price is offered!
